Expectation vs Curiosity

Where in my life am I holding expectations that are distorting my reality? I was looking at my beautiful Pothos plant today that I have recently repotted, and lately, I’ve been watering her more than before. I have another Pothos that hates to be watered too much and always needs to dry out completely in between waterings. I realized today that I was assuming one of my Pothos had to be just like the other simply because they are the same plant, technically speaking. But also, they are not the same plant! I was EXPECTING one to be just like the other. But in reality, they are different. I discovered my Pothos anew today and thought, what else am I expecting in life and where can I be more curious? What expectations are you going to work on replacing with curiosity?
